Home-y Made Meals coordinates a network of cooks and drivers so that it is possible for your company to make meals at home. We can help customize the volunteer experience for you and your company members to virtually cook together and make lasting memories.
Make up to 600 meals happen in a week.
We offer hands-on impact in the form of a homemade lunches. Your company can participate by cooking meals that will be picked up and delivered to outreach distribution sites in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
Covid-safe, served with joy.
We’ve grown a lot adapting to the new normal. It’s important to look after the health of our volunteers and we’ve designed our program with that in mind. It’s possible to do it all contactless, while still making a big difference and having fun!

Statistics of houselessness in Los Angeles
Overview
Before the pandemic, from 2019-2020 LA County saw a 12.7% rise to 66,436 people experiencing houselessness and a 16.1% rise to 41,290 people in the city of Los Angeles. CEO of Covenant House California says they're seeing an "increase in a lack of empathy... people don't want homeless people near them.

Uncertain future
According to a May 28, 2020 study by the UCLA Luskin Institute on impending evictions and homelessness, an optimistic outlook projects 36,000 additional homeless households with 56,000 children.

Black Angelenos are 34% of people experiencing houselessness while making up just 8% of the county population. With generations of systemic racism at play, a healthy meal is one way we’re helping turn the tide.
