Gratitude from Our Neighbors

On Wednesdays and Fridays, Home-y Volunteers (that's you!) arrive in Skid Row to share love and fresh meals with our neighbors. The Peace and Healing Center has become a vital food source in this food desert, serving both unsheltered and sheltered residents. While missions often provide meals, the options can lack nutrition, cultural relevance, and variety. That's why many look forward to the healthier, homemade Home-y Made Meals.

From vegetarian options and ingredient transparency to the heartfelt messages included with each meal, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. One neighbor even shared how much he enjoys the meals, and another sent us a photo of her SRO wall, where she’s saved our encouraging notes!

We couldn’t do this without YOU. Your dedication and care are the heart of Home-y Made Meals, and we’re grateful for everything you do to support our community. Thank you for making a real difference!
